Academy | Chaplain Patrol

Each chaplain candidate must undergo basic training, pass exams, and write a motivation letter. After completing the training, all students receive a chaplain assistant certificate and a referral for a 6-month internship at local law enforcement units. The Academy instructors are current chaplains and law enforcement officers from Ukraine, Canada, and the United States.

Training Program “Chaplaincy for Law Enforcement”

Program Certification

The 2025 training program has been developed in collaboration with the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC) and is based on the foundational international law enforcement chaplaincy course.
All participants who successfully complete the program will receive an international certificate confirming their competence and necessary skills in the field of chaplaincy.

The training program is implemented by the public formation “Chaplain Patrol” with the participation of representatives from the Inspectorate General and Human Rights Department of the National Police of Ukraine, the Judicial Protection Service, the Department of Criminal Punishment Enforcement, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in partnership with the international organization ICPC (International Conference of Police Chaplains), which has been operating for over 50 years in the field of law enforcement chaplaincy across various countries.

Chaplaincy Academy is a space for learning and spiritual growth where educational programs and practical initiatives are combined to provide comprehensive preparation of Christian leaders for chaplaincy service in law enforcement agencies, emergency response departments, local government institutions, and among employees of social and humanitarian organizations.Here, academic training is organically integrated with real-life ministry within relevant institutions and departments. The Academy inspires a deeper awareness of one’s calling, fosters the development of professional competence grounded in biblical principles of service, and equips chaplains with methods of psychological support for individuals in crisis situations, preparing them to be a source of encouragement, hope, and inner resilience.
