Military chaplains are individuals who carry out their service on the front lines, in military hospitals, and at veteran events. Essentially, they are always there to help people — listening to their pain and offering support in difficult situations.
For effective service, each of them needs to activate processes that can help “recharge” themselves, compensate for lost energy, and restore their strength. It is also extremely important to find special time for communication with one another.
We are always happy to help them expand their connections and contacts because chaplains also want to learn from those who have walked a similar path. That’s why, together with our team, we have actively participated in organizing exchange trips between chaplains from Ukraine and the USA. We are inspired by the positive results and feedback we have seen throughout the program’s existence. Starting international cooperation in 2016
with the Center for Moral and Psychological Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we continue to witness the growing authority of chaplaincy within the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

There is no greater love than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends…
When I first heard about the idea of the International Chaplain Camps project in early August 2016, I was immediately interested in the opportunity to serve chaplains. Especially those who went to the front lines, risking their own lives, standing in the gap in the spiritual battle against the enemy — the enemy of human souls. These heroes are marked by a word that most Ukrainians hadn’t heard before the war — military chaplains.
I thank God for the honor of serving our chaplains and defenders, and I pray that the time will come soon when Ukrainian chaplains and military personnel will no longer have to risk their lives because there will be no war.
Chaplaincy has always been special for most Christians. In fact, it is the everyday care and support for people outside the comfort of cozy halls and the familiar places where church gatherings take place.

— it is an important mission that requires collective support and participation.
Since 2014, chaplains in Ukraine have been caring for the families of fallen defenders. Their mission is to help these families cope with grief and find meaning in life. The importance of this mission is hard to overestimate, as it alleviates one of the most difficult trials in life. Chaplains not only provide emotional and spiritual support but also assist the families of the fallen with practical matters.
Forms of ministry:
Personal meetings: chaplains meet with the families of the fallen, providing them with emotional and spiritual support.
Providing material assistance: chaplains help the families of the fallen raise funds for medical treatment, rehabilitation, or other urgent needs.
Moral support: chaplains organize monthly meetings for the families of the fallen, where they can talk, listen to live music, create crafts or drawings, and also pray together.
Psychological support: chaplains organize meetings with Christian psychologists who help the families of the fallen cope with the trauma of loss.
Healing environment: chaplains organize weekend retreats at a Christian camp for the families of the fallen. There, both children and adults can rest, connect with other families who have experienced similar grief, and receive support from professionals.
This mission helps people cope with grief and find meaning in life. We urge all those who care to join this work of mercy.
God, in His Word, focuses on the ministry to orphans and widows. We are constantly seeking different forms and approaches to be more effective in providing this special help.

A comprehensive approach to the rehabilitation and adaptation of soldiers
Chaplaincy is not only about spiritual support, but also about assisting veterans in their rehabilitation and adaptation to peaceful life. Veteran Projects are a vivid example of this. The project team organizes various recreational activities for soldiers who have been affected by the war.
Joint outings to nature provide an opportunity to: take a break from negative thoughts, communicate with comrades, share impressions, receive a boost of positivity, and feel like an important part of society.
Chaplains also organize: fishing trips, excursions, hikes, concerts, and sports competitions. These various recreational activities provide veterans with the opportunity to restore their strength and improve their overall mood.
The importance of psychological and social support: According to the veterans themselves, such activities provide them with the necessary support and encouragement, which contributes to their swift physical and emotional recovery.
